Just follow some simple steps to download and install pwnage tool 3.1 for MAC OS X. The pwnage tool is about 23 Mb.

1) Download pwnage tool 3.1 for MAC osx from here.

2) Install pwnage tool by double clicking on the pwnage icon.

3) A message box appears for confirmation – Click “OPEN”

4) A warning message by the iphone dev team pops up – just ignore the message and click “OK”

5) Select the device you need to Jailbreak.

6) Pwnage tool will try to search for the IPSW file now. if You have not downloaded it – its here - iphone 3.1 and iphone 3G

7) Once the IPSW file is detected by pwnage tool, click on continue. (You can even manually browse for the IPSW file if it fails to detect automatically)

A new IPSW file is then created – Click “Continue”
