I can bet that the HTC sensation XL is one of the most beautifully designed phones to come out in the recent times. Infact the device looks way better than the Galaxy s2. With its white soft touch thick body and curved borders the HTC sensation XL stands out in its design features. The Samsung galaxy s2 comes with an even thinner plastic back case with a difficult grip.

The HTC Sensation XL has got a much bigger display screen with 4.7-inch touchscreen. But with a WVGA resolution of 480 x 800, it falls short in front of a galaxy s2. Whereas the Samsung Galaxy s2 comes with a 4.3 – inch display screen (Super AMOLED PLUS) with a resolution of 480 x 800. Do note that the Samsung Galaxy s2 available in the US with Sprint and T-Mobile comes with a 4.65-inch display screen.

HTC Sensation XL has got a single core processor when its other variants and competitors has dual core processors. Most of the devices released recently either has a dual core processor. HTC Sensation XL is powered by a single core 1.5GHz Snapdragon SoC processor. The Samsung Galaxy S2 is more fast with its very fast 1.2GHz dual core ARM Cortex A9 Exynos processor. Some of the Galaxy s2 also comes with a S3 Snapdragon processor.  The reason behind HTC not using a more powerful processor is to provide more battery life for the device since it is a music lovers phone.

Galaxy s2 has an inbuilt 8 Megapixel camera with a single LED Flash and the front camera is superb at 2 megapixels whereas the HTC Sensation XL has an 8 megapixel back camera and a  1.3 megapixel front camera which supports video calling. The difference is that the HTC sensation Xl has a F 2.2 camera lens and dual LED flash.

A free Beats by Dre Solo headphones is included with the HTC Sensation XL box and the Samsung Galaxy S 2 gives away free Samsung earbuds. HTC claims that the Beats Dre solo headphones is a $299 stuff. It looks cool and is white in color. When the sound quality is compared, the Galaxy s2 headphones performs well.

HTC has not officially announced about the availability of Sensation XL android phone in the United States. HTC has not launched the device to the international market as yet. The samsung S2 is available worldwide.
